Largs Colts 2012s suffered Scottish Cup heartbreak against higher division opposition in their tie with Dalry Thistle.
After a pulsating 3-3 draw, it was Dalry who prevailed on penalties and advance to the next round.
Despite starting slowly, Largs deservedly took the lead when Cullin McLaughlin latched onto a Jayden McCubbin pass to lift the ball over the Dalry keeper.
Dalry levelled midway through the first half from a corner when the Dalry centre forward found space in the box and with the faintest of touches guided the ball home into the far corner.
The second half was a tight affair with chances at a premium until Dalry got their noses in front finishing well from the edge of the box after a through ball split the home defence.
Largs levelled almost instantly when Jayden McCubbin cut in from the right and fired a low left foot shot into the far corner.
In a frantic last five minutes Dalry took the lead again with a fine finish from an angle but Largs refused to be beaten and clawed themselves level again with barely a minute left to play when Jayden McCubbin unleashed an unstoppable effort from outside the box to give the Dalry keeper no chance.
With the teams unable to be separated it was down to the lottery of penalties to determine the winner.
The first three spot kicks were converted successfully for each team before Largs dragged their fourth penalty wide and then hit the face of the crossbar with their final effort.
Sandwiched between those misses Dalry successfully converted their fourth spot kick to make their way into the draw for the next round at the end of a dramatic cup tie.
