Beith 1 Largs Colts 2012s 6
SECOND placed Largs made the short trip to third placed Beith Juniors aiming to build momentum ahead of a pivotal run of fixtures.
Despite having the better of the early exchanges, Largs fell behind after only seven minutes when a ball over the top allowed the Beith centre forward to outpace the Largs defence and finish well past Zach Shields in the Largs goal.
As the first half wore on it looked like being one of those days, despite dominating possession and territory Largs struggled to create chances, often foiled more by the blustery conditions and the difficult surface than by the home defence.
That all changed on the stroke of half time when Largs right back Reyd Stevens displayed a burst of acceleration down the right flank, producing a fine cross to leave Arran Sullivan with a simple finish and make the score 1-1 at the interval.
With the wind at their back Beith looked to restore their lead and dominated the early part of the second half but the Largs defence stood firm and as the rain started to fall the Largs midfield trio of captain Connor Sanbrook, Andrew Faulkner and Tyler Gray gradually took control of the game and forced their opponents back.
With 13 minutes to go Largs got their noses in front, left winger Nathan Orr playing a slide rule pass in behind the home defence for Jayden McCubbin to finish low past the keeper. It was 3-1 moments later when McCubbin capitalised on a short back pass to score his second of the afternoon.
The result was put beyond doubt only a minute later when Cullin McLaughlin ran onto a through ball from Levi Scutt to round the home ‘keeper and make it 4-1. McLaughlin repeated the trick four minutes later, this time Tyler Gray the provider. McLaughlin completed his nine minute hat-trick in the final minute of the game after capitalising on some hesitancy in the home defence to see Largs run out deserving 6-1 winners.

Largs Colts 2011s 6 Whitletts Vics 0
Largs Colts 2011 maintained their 100 per cent start to the season with a 6-0 home win against Whitletts Victoria at Bowencraig in the league.
Largs opened the scoring after just three minutes from Li after a great through ball from Masterman.
An impressive save from Lang from the Vics forward kept the score at 1-0. It was soon two to the host, this time Masterman on the scoresheet after nine minutes.
Largs continued to create chances and was soon 3-0 ahead on the 27th minute again from Li, this time Gordon with the pass over the top.
The second half started much like the first with a great team goal passing out from the back McGowan, Rawley and Detzner, and it was Trotter with the killer pass to put Li in on goal and he slotted home for 4-0.
It was quickly five after another great team goal from back to front, McDonald with the finish. Li scored his 4th and the final goal of the game with a driving run into the box to make it six. Largs could have scored more but for an in-form Whitletts goalkeeper with several good stops.
