LARGS Thistle boss Stuart Davidson has praised his players for their cup heroics as they face another knockout encounter this Saturday in the West of Scotland Cup against East Kilbride Thistle.
While Davidson will be giving this match his full attention, the month of December is set to be significant.
Largs visit Premiership rivals Beith in a mouthwatering Scottish Cup clash on December 14, before an intriguing league encounter against Troon one week later.
The South Ayrshire side leapfrogged Largs to third spot in the Greenversity West of Scotland Premier League.
Largs come into December in solid form and were scintillating on Saturday as they notched seven goals for the second time this season to ease their way past East Craigie into the fifth round of the Scottish Junior Cup.
Davidson said: "I thought it was going to be a tough game and it was to start off with until we got the goals.
"East Craigie have a lot of youth and fresh legs, and we had to be at our best, and to be fair we took the game to them and our boys got the goals at the right time in the first half.
"Our boys were really at it on Saturday, and we showed the hunger in the second half to go out and finish it off. We kept the clean sheet, and did a professional job.
"I told them before the match that there are a lot of goals throughout the team, it is not just Will Sewell.
"We had a couple of goals from Lewis Davidson, Macca (Ryan McCreath) is always good from a set piece, and David Ramsay did very well, working hard and helped us win two penalties.
"He had a couple of great runs and cut inside and was fouled on each occasion. I want to see everyone with the hunger to score and we saw that at East Craigie."
Largs have also made a new signing in Liam McVey Jnr, the son of the former Largs Thistle coach and Auchinleck defender.
Davidson said: "Liam is a young boy and come in from Queens Park on loan and he is a talented boy and has some great touches.
"You could see from some of his moves against East Craigie that he is going to play a big part for us this season and we are really looking forward to working closer with him and looking at his progress."
Largs have only lost two games in all tournaments this season, and are unbeaten at Barrfields since May, having only conceded one goal at home this season.
Thistle face East Kilbride Thistle this Saturday at Barrfields Park with a 1.30pm kick-off in the third round of the West of Scotland Cup.
East Kilbride currently sit eight in the GreenVersity Fourth Division with five wins, one draw, and six defeats.
Thistle sit a grand total of 68 places above them in the Premier Division in fourth spot, and have five wins, five draws, and one defeat so far.
* Largs Thistle U17s recorded a 4-1 win over Irvine Meadow. The goalscorers were Aiden B x 2, Cameron and Jamie.
* Largs Thistle Christmas raffle tickets will be on sale at Barrfields Park on Saturday.
