A PET-LOVING Largs pub will be hosting a Halloween competition for its four-legged friends.
Sharp's Bar has already gone viral on TikTok with their popular pooch videos after becoming dog friendly
Now the watering hole in Nelson Street is urging locals to dress up their pooches for a fun afternoon which has prizes for the best dressed dogs.
It is the latest new initiative from new owners Nick and Sara Veitch, who took over earlier this year, following their recent Oktoberfest success.
The Halloween dog dress up competition is taking place on October 29 at 2pm.
Nick said: "We are one of the few places that allow dogs into the pub into the bar and the back area.
"We have done a Tik Tok with all the different dogs that have visited the bar and also have a doggie of the day video on our social media channels - folk love it.
"I have a German Shephard myself, and we are all dog lovers here. Everyone with a dog is welcome in this bar.
"The Halloween competition has prizes for the best dressed entries and the winners will be announced on the day."
Sara said: "We get a lot of people coming into Sharps with their dogs and we have water bowls and plenty of treats.
"It has all been very well received and this was one of the reasons why we came up with the Halloween competition."
Nick and Sara Veitch have been involved in the hospitality trade all their lives and have been angling to snap up a bar and return to the UK after time living abroad.
After an epic 2,700 mile tour of Scotland and England searching for the perfect place, the couple decided to snap up the hostelry in Nelson Street in April.
