POLICE searching for a man missing from his home in Fairlie say that a body has been found in the village.
Officers say that while the body has not been formally identified, the family of Kenneth Logan, who has been missing from his home in the village for several says, have been informed.
The discovery was made near a bus stop on the A78 on Thursaday morning.
A full scale search was launched this week after Mr Logan, 59, was reported missing.
Mr Logan was last seen on Main Road in the village at around 2pm on Tuesday, July 25.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 10.40 am today, the body of a man was found near a bus stop on the A78, Fairlie.
"Although he has yet to be formally identified, the family of Kenneth Logan, 59, missing from the area, has been informed.
"There would appear to be no suspicious circumstances."
