The Largs Viking Festival is set to kick off on Saturday with a spectacular opening parade.
The spectacle will feature impressive floats with members of community groups, organisations - and of course Scandinavian warriors of yore - taking part.
Other event highlights will include Ayrshire Classic Cars, the wee longboat, vintage tractors, and even a steam engine.
